2015 YA Books with LGBTQIA Themes and 5 Reasons to Сatch Them Up

As I can remember, I’ve always loved stories with LGBTQIA themes. I was happy, because it allows heterosexual people to see such a relationship and understand that they are the most usual relationship between two people. In other words, it helps others to understand that people can love each other regardless of their gender.
All that upset me was a very limited number of such books.
Until this year.

So I present to you my list of books with LGBTQIA characters, which will be released in 2015 and which I’m dying to read (for the reasons listed below).

1) Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli

Five reasons to read this as soon as possible:

1. This cover just gorgeous. Look at the cloud instead of the head. I never tire of admiring it.
2. It has such beautiful lines like this quote, which I also don’t get tired to reread.
3. I love every aspect of the existence of Becky Albertalli and the fact that she wrote this book because this lady is wonderful in every sense.
4. The main character Simon Spier loves Oreo. Oreo!!!
5. This is one of the most interesting plots that I’ve ever seen. I already want to know who Blue is.

And I repeat, Oreo!!!

2) More Happy Than Not by Adam Silvera

Five reasons to read this as soon as possible:

1. It’s pitched like YA Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. And this is one of my favorite movies.
2. While reading this, you can joke that now you are more happy than not.
3. It seems this thing should be very emotional. Stock up on napkins.
4. A man named Adam Silvera simply can’t write badly. It’s a great name.
5. Now I’m sorry, but this cover colors like the flag of my country. Lol. If I buy it, then everyone will think that I’m a patriot.

3) None of the Above by I.W. Gregorio

Five reasons to read this as soon as possible:

1. The main character is intersex. How many books have you read about this condition?
2. I had the privilege to read it, and trust me, it’s a great book!
3. There is a very nice guy.
4. And well-written family relationships.
5. And the cover is amazing and very suitable for the book.

4) Under the Lights by Dahlia Adler

Five reasons to read this as soon as possible:

1. Just look at this lovely cover.
2. This is the second book in the series, but with the other characters. How I love such series.
3. It’s about the actors.
4. I love Dahlia blog.
5. F/F romance.

5) Bleeding Earth by Kaitlin Ward

Five reasons to read this as soon as possible:

1. Warning! The Earth is bleeding!
2. Kaitlin Ward is YA Highway blogger.
3. Also F/F romance and heroines are already in a relationship.
4. The cover is a bit creepy.
5. And please tell me whether this book is get published? Because of the whole situation with the Egmont… please.

6) Willful Machines by Tim Floreen 

Five reasons to read this as soon as possible:

1. The main character is the closeted son of the US president.
2. His crush named Nico and he is Shakespeare-obsessed.
3. This is a book about androids (probably).
4. The bird on the cover is a masterpiece.
5. Obviously it’s a sci-fi.
